Who Are We
NYSASSRS – New York State Association of Service Stations and Repair Shops, along with RSGDA – Repair Shops and Gas Dealers Association and GASDA-Gasoline and Automotive Service Dealers Association all work together under one roof to support all Independent After-Market Automotive Repair Shops, Services Stations, Gasoline Dealers and Convenience Stores across New York State. We work with them on their business strategies, supply needs, legal needs, legislative concerns, DMV requirements, and insurance. We also are avid supporters of the Automotive Trade and support a fully credentialed Apprentice Program. We bring together all facets of the After-Market Automotive industry, creating a strong and influential network of individuals dedicated to keeping all New Yorkers safely on the road.

How do I deal with the DMV and other regulatory agencies?
- Keep all licenses, permits, and registrations up to date. With current databases, they do not have to look far to determine if you are in compliance to operate.
- If you are visited by a representative of a state agency, remain cordial and limit your responses. If you receive any violations or notices, contact the association immediately for support. Do not delay; you do not have much time to reply.
- We cannot help you until we know you need help.

We have worked very hard on your behalf to build a relationship with OPUS. We have been able to create open communication lines; if you are unable to get through with any questions, service issues, or other concerns, please contact us. We will help you get to the right person for the information or support you need. We can only help you if you let us know you need help.
